Keyword Search Volume API, otherwise known as KVPA, is one of the most important aspects of SEO. The KVPA or Keyword Volume Improvement Project is designed to improve the search volume for certain keywords. Search volume basically means the number of searches done per month by people looking for information about the given keyword. It means the more number of searches made, the more traffic you will get online. The KVPA project aims to improve the search volume for long tail phrases, also known as niche keywords.
The KVPA was introduced about a year and a half ago in 2021 and since then has helped marketers make smarter choices when choosing keywords for their SEO campaigns. The premise of the KVPA is simple. Instead of choosing a keyword or phrase that receives little to no traffic to it, marketers can use the KVPA to find the best, most searched for keywords that will help boost their website’s search volume. This means that using keywords that receive little to no searches can result in huge traffic to your site, which is ultimately the purpose of SEO marketing.
There are many different ways to get this information. You can pull it out of Google, manually enter it into a macro, or use some sort of third party software. As an SEO marketer, I am not too big on using software, mainly because I don’t really need to know how the KVPA works. Luckily, there is a much easier way.
Luckily, there are software tools now available that allow me to pull out all of the information that I need from my competition. These software tools allow me to enter in various phrases, and the software will tell me the keywords that get the most searches per volume and also show me the amount of traffic that these keywords receive. It is a much nicer way to do my keyword research. I have found that the real data is quite enlightening as well.
For example, let’s say that I am doing keyword research on water bottles. What I want to look at is the searches per volume for each, “brand”, “style”, etc. I simply go to my “Research Tools” section and select the brand/style that I am researching. Then, under the KVPA column I find the keyword search volume api per volume for each. Now I simply plug this into my Master Shelf, and then I see which brands get the most searches overall. It was eye opening for me.
The keyword volume that you see on your results page will be quite low if the phrase does not have a highly relevant search volume. It is important to remember when you are optimizing ranking that you must have a highly relevant phrase. It is much easier to rank for highly relevant phrases that get a lot of search volume. However, it is important to remember to make sure that the keywords have a lot of search volume because if the phrase does not have a high volume of searches it is hard to rank for the term because no one will bother to search for that. So remember that keywords with lots of searches will make it easier to optimize ranking and get higher rankings.
